Hiring An Apprentice

  • Meet with our Business Engagement Advisor to discuss what role you'd like your apprentice(s) to be in.
  • Provide us with a job description to help us recruit the perfect candidate.
  • HYA Training will actively advertise the position on both HYA's website, and the National Apprenticeship Service, for FREE!
  • We send you all of the CV’s for those people that have applied for your role. You can then choose who you would like to interview and we will arrange the necessary appointments.
  • You let us know once you have found the perfect candidate, and we will handle any phone calls to let any unsuccessful candidates know.
  • HYA Training will then arrange all of the necessary paperwork and help to agree a start date for your brand new apprentice!

  • Developing The Skills Of Your Existing Staff


    Apprenticeships qualifications aren’t just available to new positions. In fact, your existing staff members can benefit just as much.

    Up-skilling’ your existing staff is a great way to promote a desirable company ethos of employee personal development.

    Here’s our approach with apprenticeships for existing staff members;

  • Meet with our Business Engagement Advisor to discuss the staff member's current role and decide upon a relevant qualification that will aid in their personal progression.
  • Tailor the qualification to ensure the chosen units best suit their role.
  • Sign the staff member up to the course and introduce them to their assessor.

  • Staff members that are undertaking apprenticeship qualification do not have to be on an apprentice wage.

    Staff will have to commit 20% of their time in employment to training, which is recorded by their line manager and HYA assessor.

    What's in it for you?

    This is a free of charge service to you! All that we require from you is some time to allow HYA Training's team to visit your site and to determine the type of employee you require. Other than that, you would be required to pay a minimum of £3.80 per hour to your apprentice.

    Your new employee will continue to receive personal support from HYA Training, helping them develop their skills and competencies through their Apprenticeship Framework, as well as any other skill programmes they are enrolled on.
