Following on from the recent government announcement of a new national 'lockdown' and in accordance with guidance, HYA Training Limited has reviewed our COVID risk assessment to put in place measures to prevent the ongoing spread of COVID-19. Therefore, with effect from Tuesday 5th January 2021 and until further notice, the following changes will take place in regards to the delivery of education and training:
All teaching and learning as part of HYA Training's Study Programme, in alignment with the latest government advice, will be conducted remotely. Students are therefore asked to stay at home and attend their classes via video call. Exceptions to this ruling are as follows:
• TThose learners who are deemed vulnerable or who hold an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan)
• Those learners who are children of critical workers
These students will be encouraged to access face to face teaching and learning on site at HYA Training, and will be contacted by their Tutor who will provide information on how these classes will be held. HYA Training will support all students as much as possible with the technology required to successfully learn from home.
Apprentices & Adult Learning Provision:
All apprentices and students studying on our adult learning provision will undertake their learning remotely as per the government guidance. Should you have any queries, please contact your Tutor in the first instance.
If you have an examination booked, or are worried about arrangements for exams, please contact your Tutor who will provide you with up to date information, advice and guidance.
Whilst On Site:
Any students/staff/contractors who have a valid reason to attend our building must bring a clean face covering. The wearing of face coverings will remain mandatory in all communal areas within our centre.
Social distancing, hand hygiene and the use of face coverings remains a key feature of our COVID-19 infection control measures.
The wearing of face coverings is to be considered a social responsibility for those who can wear them, with the aim of providing increased reassurance to all students, staff, visitors and contractors, including those most vulnerable to serious illness. Should you be exempt from wearing a face mask, please look to make a member of HYA Training aware prior to arrival.
If you are concerned that you may have coronavirus or may have come into contact with someone who has, please stay at home and contact a member of HYA Training’s staff at the first available opportunity.
